The City of Windsor could shut down Windsor Water World. The pool at the facility closed last March before the Family Aquatic Centre opened, but a number of programs have continued to operate out of the building. At the time, the community held rallies to protest the closure of the pool. Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens expects opposition this time around too. "There's opposition to anything that we do," he says. "In this particular case, the data's showing the community's not using that facility to the same extent as any other facility that we have." A report to city council for budget deliberations says the city could save $300,000 a year by closing Windsor Water World. Windsor City Council starts budget deliberations today.
