Barons hire former Pollock Division star Haffner as Assistant GM

The Hanover Barons have hired a former Pollock Division winner as their new assistant GM.

Thomas Haffner, who spent parts of 2 seasons with the Mount Forest Patriots, will assume the assistant GM role in Hanover after wrapping up his junior career this season in Tavistock of the Doherty Division, where he was named Best Defenseman after putting up 63 points in 39 games. Haffner helped the Patriots win the Pollock Division title the two years prior after being acquired from the GOJHL's Waterloo Siskins.

Haffner is a product of the Kitchener Jr. Rangers minor hockey program. In 77 career PJHL regular season games, Haffner put up and impressive 108 points from the blue line. His playoff resume was just as excellent, with 38 points in 38 games.

The Barons made the announcement official via their Twitter account on Monday, June 8th.
