MLB The Blue Jays avoided being swept at home by the Red Sox with a 3-0 win Sunday. Marco Estrada pitched seven shutout innings and Josh Donaldson hit a solo home run in the win. Colorado rookie Trevor Story capped his amazing first week in the majors by hitting his seventh home run in the Rockies' 6-3 win over the San Diego Padres. Jake Arrieta homered and pitched seven innings as the Cubs beat Arizona 7-3. Manny Machado had four hits including a two-run homer as Baltimore beat Tampa Bay 5-3 to remain the only undefeated team in the majors. The 5-0 start matches the 1970 team for the best in Orioles history. Rain postponed the game at Comerica Park between the Yankees and Tigers.

GOLF Jordan Spieth suffered a monumental collapse on the back nine of the Masters, handing the green jacket to England's Danny Willett. Spieth looked to be in the driver's seat but finished with a final-round 1-over 73 that included a 41 on that fateful back nine. Only six golfers broke par at the 80th Masters. Mike Weir missed the cut after a 2nd round 78.

OHL The London Knights beat Kitchener 5-3 to take a 2-0 series lead. Kingston is in a 3-0 series hole against Niagara following a 3-2 loss Sunday.

NHL Pavel Datsyuk is expected to retire from the NHL after the playoffs. His agent, Dan Milstein, has confirmed that Datsyuk wants to return to Russia to reunite with his teenage daughter and to play in the KHL for at least one season. The 37-year-old Datsyuk has one season left on his three-year, $22.5 million contract.

NBA Steph Curry had 37 points as the Golden State Warriors beat host San Antonio 92-86. It was Golden State's 72nd victory this season, tying the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls for the single-season record with one game left in the season. Toronto beat the New York Knicks 93-89 last night to climb within two games of Cleveland for top spot in the East.

OHL DRAFT Some local talent was picked up during the weekend's OHL draft. Defenseman Jordan Hurtubise was chosen in the 10th round by Mississauga, goalie Jakob Knowles was taken in the 15th round by Sarnia and Andrew Peters went in the 14th round to Mississauga. GOJHL Kyle Robinson scored the winner in double overtime as London beat Leamington 2-1 Saturday to take the Western Conference Finals in five games. Startford won the Midwest and Caledonia won the Goldenhorseshoe Conference.

GYMNASTICS Seven athletes from the Bluewater Gymnastics Club had a strong showing at this past weekend's Provincial Championships in Mississauga. Jovie Richardson won the Bar competition in the High Performance Novice division. Rachael Riley won three bronze medals on Vault, Bars and Floor. Amy Bladon placed third on beam, floor and overall, and won silver on vault and bars. Serena Baker took the gold on bars in the 10 age, 15 and over while Shea Skinn-Wai took the bronze on vault and will also travel to the National Championship. (full story HERE)

VOLLEYBALL Sarnia Twin Bridges Girls Volleyball U-15 Team won the Silver Medal this weekend at the Ontario Volleyball Association Provincial Championships.
