Environment Canada says heavy and local blowing snow is expected to impact Sarnia-Lambton, beginning in the overnight hours.
The national weather agency issued a snowfall warning for the county Tuesday afternoon. Between 10 and 20 centimetres is anticipated.
The warning was in the Yellow range, meaning the storm may cause damage, disruption, or health impacts.
The impacts are expected to be moderate, localized or short term.
Environment Canada said an Alberta clipper will bring snow across the area which may be heavy at times beginning overnight. The snow is expected to transition to showers or flurries from southwest to northeast through the day Wednesday.
Lake effect snow squalls are possible for areas southeast of Lake Huron Wednesday night into Thursday.
Additional snowfall accumulation is likely for some locations.
We're being told that travel will likely be challenging, and roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
Visibility will likely be reduced at times so allow extra time for travel.
