A Huron-Kinloss man is facing nearly half a dozen charges after a police officer was assaulted while investigating a report of a person trespassing in Lucknow.
South Bruce OPP were called about a man who was at an address in the town without permission just before 9 a.m. on Monday. Officers were told the same man had also trespassed on the property the previous night.
Police arrived on the scene, and an officer was assaulted while investigating the incident.
A 51-year-old Huron-Kinloss man was arrested. He is charged with assaulting a peace officer, trespassing at night, causing a disturbance, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and resisting arrest. The man has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Walkerton court on May 6.
No injuries were reported.
