Hydro One crews are still dealing with significant damage following Monday night's severe thunderstorms.
Utility spokesperson Nick Aveling said at the peak of the storm, over 11,000 customers were impacted across Ontario.
He said about 4,000 had power restored by 9 a.m. Tuesday.

"The area around Sarnia, from Wilkesport all the way to Camlachie was actually the hardest hit in the province," said Aveling. "Approximately 3,500 customers are still without power [as of 9 a.m. Tuesday]. That's because we have a minimum of 15 broken poles in the area, and there will likely be more as we continue to assess the damage and unfortunately those take time to repair. Repairs were already underway overnight and we called in crews from across the province to help move things along as quickly as possible."
Aveling said full restoration was expected by 11 p.m. Tuesday.
"We understand how difficult it is to be without power, particularly as a new day begins," he said. "So as our crews continue to work we really just want to thank our customers for their patience."
Residents are remined to stay clear of any fallen power lines, and always assume they're live. If you see a downed line call police.
Meanwhile, the back nine holes at the Huron Oaks Golf Course in Bright's Grove were closed off to the public on Tuesday.
Head Golf Pro Cameron Rankin said they experienced some damage in the storm, but he expected the course to fully reopen on Wednesday.
"We had about 10 to 12 fairly large trees come down, some branches came down and some other trees were uprooted," said Rankin. "We obviously had some strong winds on the back nine. Mainly holes 14 and 16 on the course are impacted and there's some damage on the 16th green."
