Lambton College is re-emerging into full campus life following two years of COVID-19 restrictions.
Senior Vice President of Academic & Student Success Mary Vaughan said the college will be fully open for the fall semester.
"The vaccine mandate and anything related to the COVID-19 protocols have been sunsetted. We monitor public health advice, but for the fall it's been suspended."
Vaughan said the school will have flexible learning classrooms, which will allow students to choose when and how they want to study.
"So if they want to come into class, they can come into class. If they want to join in remote, they can join in remote. If they want to join in to that lecture later on because they're working, they have that. So it's truly flexible learning."
Vaughan said they're going to have a full house come September and that the campus has never looked better.
"We have lots of landscaping and construction that has been ongoing that has gotten ready for our students come this fall. We have brand new chemistry labs that are completed and ready for students to study," she said. "Lots on the go in terms of clubs and student experiences, sports and intramural sports. The full gamut of what makes a truly amazing college life."
Vaughan said they do have an increase in enrollment from 2021 and that they should know final enrollment numbers by the end of September.
She also said the school is excited about their new plumbing program this year, adding that there's a big demand for plumbing and other skilled trades.
The school is hosting its Campus Connection event on August 31. For more information click here.
