Weapon, drugs, bogus bills seized in traffic stop

Lambton OPP seized a weapon, drugs, and counterfeit money during a traffic stop Monday morning in Plympton-Wyoming.

Officers searched a vehicle pulled over on Oil Heritage Road at around 4:30 a.m.

Police said a passenger was arrested without incident after allegedly producing an unspecified concealed weapon.

Officers also seized narcotics, marijuana, counterfeit currency, and tools.

Christopher Hammond, 24, of Sarnia is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and failing to comply with an undertaking.

Kim Brennan, 48, of Plympton-Wyoming is charged with possession of a break-in instrument.

Both men are also charged with two counts of drug trafficking and possession of counterfeit money.

They were being held in custody awaiting bail hearings.
