Witnesses sought to incident involving weapon in Kincardine

Provincial police are hoping to speak with anyone who witnessed an incident involving a weapon in Kincardine earlier this month.

South Bruce OPP have released few details about exactly what happened on April 14, including the type of weapon used and whether anyone was hurt.

"Due to the nature of the investigation, additional information will not be released at this time," police said in a statement released on Monday.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area of Mechanics Avenue and James Street and Mechanics Avenue and Princes Street between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on that date is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Police are also looking for surveillance or dash-camera footage from the area.
