Pedestrian hurt in hit-and-run involving ATV

A collision involving an ATV on a rail trail in Grey Highlands sent a pedestrian to hospital.

Emergency crews were called to the hit-and-run on the Grey County Rail Trail near Road 110 just after 6 p.m. on Monday. Grey Bruce OPP determined a pedestrian had been hit by the off-road machine, which then took off from the scene.

The pedestrian suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

A description of the suspect ATV was not released.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
