South Bruce OPP continue to investigate the cause of a weekend snowmobile crash that sent a woman to hospital with serious injuries.
Emergency crews were called to Concession 8 in the Municipality of South Bruce just before 11:50 p.m. on Saturday where they found the snowmobile a short distance off of the roadway.
The 21-year-old woman who had been operating the machine suffered serious injuries in the crash and had to be taken to hospital in London for treatment, OPP said.
Police are asking anyone with information about the collision to call them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
This is the second serious snowmobile crash in midwestern Ontario in less than a week.
Last Thursday, a 59-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries when his snowmobile hit an "obstruction" on the OFSC trail near Road 145 in Perth East, throwing him off the machine.
