Fisher-Price toy recalled due to choking hazard

Health Canada has issued a recall for a dumbbell toy from the Fisher-Price Baby Biceps Gift Set because of a choking hazard.

The agency said grey caps on the end of the dumbbell toys can come off, posing a hazard to infants.

A kettlebell toy, protein shake bottle, and wearable headband are also part of the set but are not included in the recall.

As of August 15, Fisher-Price has received four reports in Canada and seven in the U.S. of the ends of the dumbbell toy coming off, with no reports of injuries.

Health Canada said the affected products were distributed in Canada between June 2020 and April 2024 and over 44,000 units were sold.

Customers should immediately stop using the dumbbell toy and contact Fisher-Price for a partial refund.
