North Huron offering new online registration for recreation programs

The Township of North Huron is offering a new online registration program for its recreation programs as it battles technical difficulties.

Recreation users can now submit their registration forms online until June 14, when online registration will close.

"To make sure that the community doesn't experience any service disruption, we are using some of our existing software programs to continue to offer online and in-person registration," said Kelly Steiss, director of recreation and children's services with the township.

Steiss said the reasoning for the short online registration window is due to classes filling up quickly.

"To do the online process, you need to fill out a form then sign up to pay online, which is a little bit different than a normal experience when you go through other online purchases," she said.

However, if online isn't your go-to method for registration, in-person and phone registrations are still available before the online portal closes.

If you would like to sign yourself or any family members up for summer activities, you can access the portal here. Any questions can be called into North Huron at 519-357-1208 extension 321. Registration deadlines can also be found.
