The Wingham and District Hospital Foundation has received more help from a local organization.
The Wingham Sportsmen Association is donating $25,000 toward the foundation's Caring Together Campaign, which is working to bring a CT scanner to Wingham.
Currently, the Caring Together campaign has raised over 70 percent of the $2.5 million goal. The hospital foundation is encouraging community members to consider making a personal gift towards the brand-new CT Scanner. Those interested can visit www.wdhfoundation.ca to learn more and donate.
“It was an easy decision to support the CT Campaign for the hospital. It will make a difference for so many people in our community," said Sportsmen Association President Bryce Toll.
Community Engagement Chair for the campaign Shelley Reinhart accepted the donation with sincere thanks.
“It’s great to see service clubs coming forward with generous donations. We are lucky to have so many active clubs like the Sportsmen in our area,” she said.
