Drug trafficking investigation results in charges

Perth County OPP have arrested and charged four people following a drug trafficking investigation.

Police say they made the arrests on February 29 following the trafficking investigation in North Perth. Three people were arrested on Wallace Avenue North and those three individuals were all allegedly found in possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and hydromorphone, as well as drug trafficking paraphernalia, cash, and brass knuckles.

Search warrants were conducted at two residences on Wallace Avenue North and Elm Avenue North, and at a storage unit on Fairlane Road, all in the Municipality of North Perth. As a result of the search warrants, another individual was arrested. Police seized fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, hydromorphone, oxycodone, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

The total estimated value of the drugs is approximately $15,000. The total estimated value of the seized property is $1,200.

A 37-year-old from North Perth, two 38-year-olds from North Perth and a 38-year-old from Wellington County are all facing a lengthy list of drug charges. All have upcoming court dates at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford.

Perth County OPP was assisted by the Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit, Brant-Oxford CSCU, Elgin-Middlesex CSCU, West Region Regional Support Team and West Region Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit.
