United Way inviting the public to campaign kick-off in Grand Bend

United Way Perth Huron (UWPH) will hold another campaign kick-off event for its annual fall fundraising effort.

After hosting a kick-off event recently in Listowel, UWPH is inviting residents in Grand Bend and the surrounding area to join them on Saturday, September 19. The event will be held at Grand Bend Stirling Sands Vineyards.

Doors open at 4 p.m. for an event featuring a buffet dinner, silent auction, 50-50 draw, and live entertainment by Country Junction. Tickets are $25 per person, with proceeds helping local people access financial assistance during times of crisis through UWPH’s Urgent Needs Fund.

This event will also serve as the finale for the United We Ride event, UWPH's charity motorcycle ride. Rain or shine, the ride begins at Maitland River Community Church in Wingham, with check-in starting at 9 a.m. Riders can take part in a mobile scavenger hunt, and they can also stop for lunch at the Goderich Legion.

Registration for United We Ride is $45 per rider and $30 per passenger. Both options include admission to the evening event. Participants must be legally licensed and insured.
