Culture Days events being held in Minto

The Town of Minto will be hosting a lengthy event in its communities called Culture Days later this month.

Erinn Raftis, Marketing & Community Development Coordinator, explains what the event is.

"Culture Days is from September 22 to October 15 and it's a national celebration of arts and culture, so it's happening in lots of communities around the area. In the Town of Minto, we have over 20 different events organized by the Minto Cultural Roundtable and the Culture Days Committee, as well as various organizations throughout Minto," Raftis shared.

Raftis says the first event on the 22 this month will be very unique.

"We've got lots of fun different events on the schedule. Our first event of Culture Days is Apples and Astronomy. So you can spend an evening in the countryside enjoying apple treats and touring the orchards, and then you get to look at the night sky through a big telescope," Raftis enthused.

Events are all free, but some have attendance limits, and Raftis says it is simple to find information on all of them.

"Preregistration is already open for some of the events, some are walk-up events but some are preregisters. You can go to town.minto.on.ca/events or follow the Town of Minto on Facebook or Instagram for the latest updates," concluded Raftis.
