Blyth Festival artistic associate Kelly McIntosh says the next comedy at the Blyth Festival is selling out quickly.
McIntosh says the comedy 'Chronicles of Sarnia' was written by Matt Murray, who wanted to write a play about his hometown of Sarnia
“He was inspired by a real moment in history in Sarnia where a real 100-year-old time capsule was unearthed," explained McIntosh. "And he thought this would be a really good idea to write a play about people now deciding to put their own time capsule together.”
The play is about the efforts of retired history teacher bringing a few members of the community together to create a new 100-year time capsule. McIntosh says it doesn't exactly go as planned.
McIntosh says the 'Chronicles of Sarnia' runs from August 3 until August 18. There are only 12 performances so she urges anyone who enjoys a good comedy to get their tickets quickly. More about the 'Chronicles of Sarnia' can be found on the Blyth Festival website.
