Numerous school closures and bus cancellations as squalls hammer the region

A blast of winter weather has resulted in a lengthy list of school closures and bus cancellations.

Many bus routes in rural areas are not running, and a number of local major highways remain closed. Those include:

-Highway 21 is closed from Amberley to Southampton due to poor weather

-Highway 21 is closed from Dashwood to Amberley

-Highway 9 is closed from Walkerton to Kincardine due to high winds, blowing snow and poor to no visibility

-Bruce Road 23 is closed from Kincardine to Bruce Road 20 due to high winds, blowing snow and poor to no visibility

- Bruce County Road 3 is closed from Highway 9 to Paisley due to high winds, blowing snow and poor to no visibility.

-Amberley Road is closed from Amberley to Wingham due to poor visibility

-London Road is closed from Wingham to Teeswater
