Attack Hunger Campaign successful despite COVID-19 challenges

The Owen Sound Attack's "Attack Hunger Campaign" was very successful again this year despite some changes due to COVID-19.

The event is typically held at the first home game on a Saturday in December, but due to the OHL not playing because of the pandemic, the organization decided instead to hold a food and donations drive in locations around the city of Owen Sound. The event raised nearly 1,300 pounds of food and over $11,000 in cash donations. The campaign received donations from almost 30 individuals and 6 local businesses. This year's Attack Hunger Campaign donations will help the local Salvation Army support over 600 families this holiday season.

If you did not get a chance to donate and would still like to, please contact the Salvation Army online at www.salvationarmyowensound.ca, by telephone 519-376-5699 or make a food donation at one of your local grocery stores.
