A seal failure on a pump in Unit 3 at the Bruce A Nuclear Generating station led to a release of tritiated water Wednesday.
Bruce Power informed the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission yesterday of the failure in one of the primary heat transport pump seals.
The release was contained to the building and officials state there were no safety concerns for members of the public, workers or environment.
CNSC inspectors were sent to the site to investigate.
Bruce Power officials say where the leak occured, it is designed to collect those leaks.
Such reports are part of Bruce Power's licence conditions.
