Fire crews from Lucknow, Wingham and Teeswater responded to the blaze southeast of Lucknow just after 2am this morning.
There were no injuries from the fire and crews were also able to save the family cat, however the home was destroyed.
Damage is currently estimated at $250,000.
The Emergency Department at the Wingham and District Hospital will close temporarily on Thursday night.
