Georgian College students are investing in their own educational experience.
The Student Advisory Committees at all three campuses are committing $7.2-million over ten years to enhance facilities outside the classroom.
Jenna Stevenson is the SAC president at the Owen Sound campus.
She says the students themselves voted to add $28 a term to their SAC fees.
"To better our services to better our campus for our students, to hope that students will enjoy their time here and to be able to use our services that are not just academic related," says Stevenson.
The money at Georgian in Owen Sound will go to, among things, upgrade fitness room facilities and give the cafeteria a face lift.
