Huron Manufacturing Awards

The Huron Manufacturing Association handed outs its Awards for Excellence last night. It was the Ninth Annual Awards Dinner, and was held at the Hensall and District Community Centre.

Blyth Farm Cheese is the Manufacturer of the Year.

Blyth Farm Cheese's Joost VanDorp also shared the Junior Manufacturer of the Year Award with Brett and Brian Landsborough of Maelstrom Winery.

Ron and Ruth Schefter won the Chairman's Award.

The Innovative Product Award went to Iceculture of Hensall and the Employer of the Year is the Hensall District Co-op.

Kincardine to mark National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The Municipality of Kincardine is preparing to observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, an annual event dedicated to recognizing the systemic inequities endured by Indigenous communities throughout Canada and acknowledging the long-term historical effects of residential schools.
