A 42-year-old Owen Sound man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly attacking his roommate with a knife.
The Owen Sound Police Service responded to a reported altercation at a residence on the west side of the city around 11 a.m. Tuesday.
According to police, a tenant allegedly assaulted his roommate with a knife during the fight.
The victim sustained multiple injuries and was taken to Brightshores Health System for treatment. Though one laceration required surgery, police said the victim did not sustain life-altering or permanent injuries.
As a result of the investigation, Daniel "Matthew" Devine, was arrested without incident and charged with attempted murder.
He was transported to court for a bail hearing and was remanded into custody.
Police say the incident is believed to be isolated, and there are no ongoing public safety concerns.
