The best of the Pollock Division will have a lot on the line when they take on the top players of the Carruthers Division in the Provincial Junior Hockey League's (PJHL) North Conference All-Star Game on December 28 at the P&H Centre in Hanover.
The winner will secure home-ice advantage for the upcoming North Conference Final in the 2025 Schmalz Cup Conference Finals.
The Pollock Division is comprised of the Hanover Barons, Fergus Whalers, Mount Forest Patriots, Wingham Ironmen, Kincardine Bulldogs, Mitchell Hawks, Walkerton Capitals and Goderich Flyers. They will face the best of the Carruthers Division, which has the Alliston Hornets, Stayner Siskins, Orillis Terriers, Penetang Kings, Innisfil Spartans, Huntsville Otters, Midland Flyers and Muskoka Bears.
Hanover’s P&H Centre will join the Tavistock Braves' home arena in the South, the Clarington Eagles' Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex in the East, and the Dresden Kings’ Ken Houston Memorial Agricultural Centre in the West, as the four selected venues for this inaugural All-Star weekend.
PJHL Commissioner Terry Whiteside expressed excitement about the new All-Star format.
"The PJHL is excited to bring the All Star Games to our fans. We anticipate exciting and extremely good hockey games. The teams are playing for their division to gain the extra game in the conference finals which will make it super important for them. Showcasing the talent in our league is something we wanted to do and we are very confident that fans will be impressed with the calibre of the play," he said.
