Phil Wizard wins Canada's first breaking Olympic gold

Canada made more history at the Paris Olympics, as Phil Wizard (Philip Kim) won the first-ever men's breaking gold medal.

Kim defeated France's Dany Dann (Danis Civil) in the final. He narrowly won over judges 5-4 in the first round, before sweeping the next two rounds 9-0 each.

He only lost one round during his entire Olympic run.

Victor Montalvo of the United States won the bronze medal.

The Vancouver native's win gave Canada it's ninth gold medal of these Olympics and 27th overall, passing the total number of medals won in the historic 2010 Games in Kim's hometown.

The 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Games are now the only non-boycotted Olympics in which Canada has won more medals, with 29.
