Alliston keeps home streak going

The home team has won every game in the PJHL's North Conference Final so far.

The Alliston Hornets scored a 4-1 win over the Mount Forest Patriots Monday to tie the series at two.

The second period was the turning point as Alliston scored three times. The first goal was scored 35 seconds into the period and the third goal was scored with just 29 seconds left in the period.

Mount Forest had a power play to start the third period but could not capitalize. Alliston would score their fourth goal at the 2:58 mark of the third, sealing it. That was courtesy of Hornets' forward Ryan McReynold's as he notched two goals on the night and assisted on the other two goals.

The Patriots would get their only goal just over midway through the third period on a nice three player attack/ Owen Rahn scored on the play with assists going to Bradley Powell and Parker Miller.

Neither team's power play clicked as both Mount Forest and Alliston went 0-for-3.

Shots were close, 37-35 in favour of Alliston.

Game 5 is Thursday night in Mount Forest at 8 p.m. and Cherrey Buslines OHA Hockey on CKNX will have full coverage.
