PJHL: Tolton and Huber lift Wingham to victory; Goderich rallies to tie Mitchel

Matt Tolton and Jamie Huber each scored and set up another in Wingham's 4-1 win over Walkerton.

Huber opened the scoring on the power play just over a minute into the second period. Rhys Vollmer scored just over two minutes later to up the Ironmen up 2-0. Tolton scored late in the second to give the Ironmen a 3-0 lead heading into the third.

Spencer Elder's power play goal just under five minutes into the final frame would spoil Jamie Brock's shut out bid.

Park Gibbings had an empty netter, unassisted with less than a minute left in regulation to round out the scoring.

Mitchell 5 Goderich 5

The Goderich Flyers rallied from a three goal deficit, scoring three times in the third and held the Mitchell Hawks to a 5-5 tie.

Ryan Murray and Jake Finlayson scored in the first to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead.

Trent Michie put the Flyers on the board just over seven minutes into the second period. Tyson Moore scored back-to-back goals just over a minute apart in the middle of the frame to extend the Hawks lead once again.

Riley Connors scored the Flyers second goal of the game with less than four minutes to go in the second. Ryan Murray made it 5-2 Mitchell just over 40 seconds later.

Matt Fisher scored the equalizer for the Flyers at 15:23 of the third. Matt Bean and Brennan Long sparked the Flyers rally earlier in the period.

Ryan Govier stopped 45 shots for the Hawks including overtime. Kevin Linker made 38 saves for the Flyers over 67 minutes of work.
