GOJHL Hands Out 2015 Awards

The GOJHL named the award winners Monday night in Kitchener for the Midwestern Division. All nine teams were in attendance for the proceedings, including a guest speech from Kitchener Rangers Head Coach Troy Smith.

Award winners included Listowel Cyclones coach Jason Brooks, winner of the Coach of the Year award. Stratford Cullitons forward Trevor Sauder won his 4th straight best defensive forward award.

Other award winners were as follows.

CKCO-TV Trophy (MVP): Christian Mroczkowski, Waterloo Siskins

Unique Embroidery Trophy (Scoring Champion): Christian Mroczkowski, Waterloo Siskins

Midwestern Frank Santarosa Scholarship: Jordan Currie, Stratford Cullitons

Leroy Jamieson Memorial Trophy(Outstanding Contributions to One Team): Keegan Calder, Kitchener Dutchmen

Twin City Trophies Trophy (Best Team Goaltending):  Jonathan Reinhart and Andrew Lefebvre, Elmira Sugar Kings

Standard Life Insurance Trophy (Sportsmanship and Ability): Danny Hanlon, Waterloo Siskins

Cory Stoyko Memorial Trophy (Best Defenseman) Mac Clutsam, Elmira Sugar Kings

Herbert G Memorial Trophy ( 1st in Midwest): Elmira Sugar Kings

R.J. Noble Memorial Trophy ( Rookie of the Year): Nic Hague, Kitchener Dutchmen
