The province's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has been called after South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a vehicle fire in Point Clark.
OPP were on scene at a parking lot off Highway 21 at around 1 p.m. on Saturday after reports of a vehicle fire.
They posted to social media to advise of a higher police presence in the area, noting there was no threat to the public.
Police reportedly found two injured people, who were transported to hospital.
SIU has invoked its mandate, and OPP will not be providing further information regarding this incident.
The SIU is an independent government agency that investigates the conduct of officials that may have resulted in death, serious injury, sexual assault and/or the discharge of a firearm at a person.
SIU has yet to release any information on the investigation.
