The Wellington County Museum and Archives and local Royal Canadian Legion branches are inviting community members to gather and honour fallen service members during two upcoming Remembrance Day events.
The annual commemorations provide a dedicated space for the community to pause and reflect on the lives of more than 500 men and women from Wellington County who made the ultimate sacrifice in major military conflicts.
The observances begin on Monday, November 9, with a Remembrance Ceremony held at the museum from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The tribute continues the following evening, Tuesday, November 10, with a Remembrance Day Candle Vigil scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the museum’s front lawn.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend both services to pay their respects to the region's veterans. Further event details can be found by visiting wcma.wellington.ca.
