The Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health will soon host a Talk Ask Listen workshop for local farmers in Blyth.
This event will be on Saturday, November 28 at Cowbell Brewing Co.
Gateway Centre aims to help farmers look out for each other and the workshop will "bring farmers and others in agriculture together to learn practical ways to check in with one another and strengthen everyday communication," Gateway Centre shared in a media release.
The Talk Ask Listen workshop was designed by The Do More Agriculture Foundation. The goal is to help farmers recognize when someone in their community may be having a hard time, to listen with no judgement and to encourage others to seek resources like mental health supports.
The workshop runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a complimentary breakfast provided. Registration closes November 13.
