Serious crash closes Hwy 86 in Wingham

Amberley Road/Hwy 86 is closed in Wingham due to a serious multi-vehicle crash.

According to the OPP, Amberley Road/Hwy 86 closed between London Road and Currie Line on Wednesday night at 10:25 p.m. following a crash between a passenger vehicle and a cargo van.

Police confirmed on "X", formerly Twitter, that the roadway was still closed as of early Thursday morning as emergency crews continued to assess the crash site. One person involved in the crash sustained life-threatening injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing. More details to follow.
