An impaired driving charge was laid after a burning vehicle was seen travelling on a North Perth road.
Perth County OPP received reports about the vehicle on Perth Line 86 shortly after 10 p.m. on Thursday. When officers located the vehicle it was fully engulfed in flames and had been pulled over to the side of the road.
"All occupants had safely exited the vehicle and were uninjured," police said, although they did not specify how many people had been inside.
Firefighters arrived and doused the flames without incident.
According to police, the driver was arrested after showing signs of impairment.
A 42-year-old man from Listowel is charged with one count of impaired driving. His driver's licence has also been suspended for 90 days. Police added that he would have also had his vehicle impounded for two weeks had it not been destroyed by the fire.
