An Owen Sound man's retirement just got a whole lot better after winning $1 million as part of a Lotto Max draw last month.
Scot C. matched all seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the April 7, 2026 draw to win his prize.
In his visit to the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, Scot recalled that it was a rainy day when he asked his partner to check his ticket as she ran into the store.
"After a few moments, she came outside, jumping up and down and waving at me to come in," he said in a media release. "I went inside, looked at the ticket checker, and was in total disbelief!"
The 64-year-old retiree shared the incredible news with his children, sister, and brother, all of whom thought he was joking at first.
With his winnings, Scot plans to purchase a new vehicle, complete some home renovations, and invest for the future.
The winning ticket was purchased at Daisy Mart on 14th Street West in Owen Sound.
