The province's police oversight agency has invoked its mandate after a person was bitten by a dog during an arrest in Northern Bruce Peninsula Tuesday.
The Special Investigations Unit was called in after members of the Grey Bruce OPP executed a warrant at an address on Spry Shore Road around 1 p.m.
According to police, during the arrest, the individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being gripped by a police service dog. They were taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
The person was taken into custody, but OPP say details of the charges won't be shared as the matter is being investigated.
