Grey Bruce Public Health (GBPH) is investigating a recent dog biting incident in Flesherton.
According to GBPH, the organization is trying to locate a dog and its owner after someone was bitten on April 10 around 7 p.m.
Allegedly, a dog described as a black-and-white border collie, bit a girl at Memorial Park on Sydenham Street in Flesherton, which is next to the Grey Highlands Museum.
The dog did have a collar on, but no one was with the dog at the time of the bite. Staff at Grey Bruce Public Health need to confirm the dog involved in this biting incident is not infectious with rabies.
Verifying the dog's vaccination status will ensure the victim can avoid post-rabies exposure treatment. If you have any information regarding this incident, contact Grey Bruce Public Health.
