West Grey Police renews call for help in solving armed robbery

The West Grey Police Service says evidence has come up empty identifying a suspect in an armed robbery last summer, so it's reappealing to the public for help.

Police say the robbery occurred during the early morning hours of July 29, 2025, at the Shell located at the intersection of Bruce Rd. 10 and Grey Rd. 28.

According to police, a lone male entered the store armed with a large machete and demanded cash from the register.

The suspect is described as around six-feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a red full-body spandex suit covering the head and face.

West Grey Police say DNA evidence was collected and submitted to the Centre of Forensic Sciences, but no matches have been identified at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact West Grey Police Service at 519-369-3046.
