Environment Canada has put out a snow squall watch for the area.
Lake effect snow squalls off Lake Huron, in combination with strong winds, are expected to cause widespread blowing snow.
The watch is for Monday morning into Tuesday, with snowfall amounts near 25 centimetres possible by Tuesday morning.
The agency warns that travel may be extremely hazardous, as visibility could suddenly be reduced to near zero at times, and road closures are possible.
You may want to consider rescheduling any travel or outdoor activities.
There is also a yellow rainall warning posted for Wingham-Byth and Northern Huron County for Sunday into Monday with rainfall amounts of 15 to 30 millimetres expected.
