The Hanover and District Hospital is taking a big step towards purchasing a new fluoroscopy machine.
The Hanover and District Hospital Foundation (HDHF) announced on Thursday that $400,000 was being put towards the campaign to buy the new X-ray machine.
All the funds were collected through community donations.
"This contribution reflects the outstanding commitment of our donors and community partners," said Madison Bryan, Executive Director of the HDHF. Every dollar represents someone who believes in strengthening healthcare in our region. We are deeply grateful for the support that makes progress like this possible."
During a fluoroscopy procedure, an X-ray beam is passed through the body with an image being transmitted to a monitor so the movement of a body part, medical instrument or contrast agent, such as X-ray dye, can be seen in detail.
