The Hanover and District Hospital will implement changes next week that it says will improve navigation and the overall patient experience.
Starting December 18, the hospital's Registration Department will move to the main entrance, a move that is expected to improve access to services. Moving forward, all visitors, except those visiting the Emergency Department, are encouraged to come through the Main entrance.
That same day, the hospital will introduce a new colour-and-shape wayfinding system designed to simplify navigation throughout the hospital.
"The relocation of our Registration Department and our Wayfinding Project are important steps in advancing a modern environment at Hanover and District Hospital," said Dana Howes, President and CEO. "These projects are rooted in accessibility, inclusivity and community input, and will help patients and visitors navigate the hospital confidently."
The hospital will have volunteers available during and after the transition to assist patients and visitors.
