The unemployment rate went down slightly in November across the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula Economic Region.
According to the Four County Labour Market Planning Board in its monthly statistical report, the local unemployment went down 0.4 percentage points to land at 3.9 per cent.
There was a net gain of 4,600 jobs, with 4,800 in part-time employment offset by a loss of 200 full-time positions in the region.
Also, the overall employment participation rate in the area rose 1.2 percentage points to land at 61.8 per cent, the highest rate of this calendar year.
The provincial unemployment rate went down 0.7 percentage points to sit at 7.2 per cent overall.
