A yellow level snow squall warning is in effect for midwestern Ontario, with Environment Canada forecasting an additional 5 to 10 centimetres for most areas and as much as 15 centimetres more for Bruce Peninsula. Strong winds, gusting up to 60 kilometres an hour are accompanying the squalls, which is significantly reducing visibility in spots.
Drivers are advised travel may be hazardous and to snow down and leave extra space between vehicles.
