Five Grey County paramedics have been recognized by the Province for their years of exceptional service.
The Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal is awarded to professionals who have served at least 20 years in emergency medical services.
"These outstanding paramedics have shown remarkable commitment to emergency medical services throughout their careers," said Kevin McNab, Grey County's director of paramedic services. "Their dedication to providing excellent care makes our communities safer, and it's wonderful to see them receive this well-deserved recognition."
Joe Draper, Jessica Robb, Paula Trombley, and Naomi Liverance were all recognized for 20 years of providing exceptional care during emergencies.
Draper serves as a supervisor out of the Owen Sound base. Robb, Deputy Chief of Operations, has a focus on wellness and has developed programs to support paramedics. Trombley has worked in Markdale for two decades and is currently co-chair of the Joint Health and Safety Committee. Liverance works full-time in Bruce County and part-time with Grey County.
Meanwhile, Leo Verschuren who is retired, but still volunteers for the honour guard, was recognized for 40 years of service.
