A Saugeen Shores man was allegedly caught in the act of trying to steal a motorcycle Thursday night.
Around 9:30 p.m. local police received a report of a theft in progress in the area of Adelaide Street in the Town of Southampton.
The caller had heard a commotion outside their home and came out to find an unknown male pinned under their motorcycle, which had been moved from where it was parked.
Upon being found, the suspect reportedly took off on foot through neighbouring yards.
Police later found a man matching the description provided in a shed on Huron Street.
As a result of this investigation the 40-year-old man is facing charges including break and enter, attempted theft of a motor vehicle, disguise with intent and two counts of mischief.
He was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
