Central Huron receives $207,000 second quarter OLG payment

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation issued a second quarter payment totaling $207,844 to the Municipality of Central Huron for hosting Gateway Casinos Clinton.

The payment covers the period from July 1 to September 30. OLG says payments to host communities are based on a formula in the Municipality Contribution Agreement.

"Central Huron is able to offer local programs and improve the quality of life of our residents through the economic activity generated through revenue from Gateway Casinos Clinton," said Lisa Thompson, MPP for Huron–Bruce in a release. "The people of Ontario benefit from OLG’s gaming revenues as 100 per cent of OLG profits are reinvested in the province to support provincial priorities."

So far, during OLG’s fiscal year for 2025-26, Central Huron has received $408,909.

Since the casino in Clinton opened in August 2000, Central Huron has received $14,760,540.
