The City of Owen Sound is inviting residents to connect directly with City Council, staff, and local organizations at the Community Open House, taking place Monday, October 20 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bayshore Community Centre.
The free, family-friendly event will feature displays from a wide range of city divisions and community partners, including Grey County Housing, YMCA Employment Services, Brightshores Health System, Grey Bruce Public Health, CMHA Grey Bruce, and Safe N Sound. Attendees can learn more about city programs and resources, explore current and upcoming projects, and ask questions directly to city staff.
“We want to talk directly to citizens, hear your ideas and answer your questions. This is an opportunity for you to connect with City staff, Council, and local organizations that support daily life in Owen Sound. We invite everyone to come out,” said Mayor Ian Boddy.
A kids’ space will offer fun activities, while parents and guardians remain responsible for supervision. Light refreshments will be available, and the Bayshore Community Centre offers accessible facilities and free parking.
Owen Sound Transit’s East Bayshore Route provides service to the community centre until 6 p.m., and a limited number of transportation vouchers will be available for those who need assistance by emailing communications@owensound.ca.
