Huron County Museum asking for art show and sale submissions

The Huron County Museum is once again asking local artists to submit their work for the upcoming 2025 Huron County Art Show and Sale.

Last held in 2022, the event is a judged competition and exhibition to collect local art for the Huron County Art Bank.

An artist from outside Huron County will select two artworks from the submissions that are purchased by the County and added to the Art Bank collection. The County says 50 works of local art have been added to the collection, preserving the legacy of local artists for future generations.

The first and second works selected will receive a purchase award of $1,000 and $800 respectively.

"This event not only highlights the creative energy in our community but also gives residents a chance to connect with and support local artists," said Senior Curator Elizabeth French-Gibson in a release.

Artists residing in Huron County are encouraged to submit their artwork from now until Friday, September 19. Submissions will be accepted at the Huron County Museum during regular hours.

This year’s show will be on display at the Museum from October 4 to December 14. The public is invited to participate in the show by casting their vote for the People’s Choice Award using a special ballot available at the Museum.
