Public health looking for dog after biting incident in Kincardine

Grey Bruce Public Health (GBPH) is investigating a dog biting incident in Kincardine.

Public health says an individual was bitten by a dog just before 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 27 while running along Boiler Beach Road.

The dog is described as a large-sized, tan colour dog. It was with a man wearing a ball cap, white shirt, and khaki shorts.

Staff at GBPH need to confirm the dog involved in this biting incident is not infectious with rabies.

By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.

If you have any information related to this incident, please contact Grey Bruce Public Health at 519-376-9420 ext. 1530.
